The Colourfulness of 1Malaysia

Malaysian Trend
“1Malaysia” concept becomes Malaysian’s trendy and quite popular, today. In fact, we can see the trend in any circumstance whereby everyone in Malaysia is uttering the word “...1Malaysia...” simultaneously. It seems Malaysia is suited with the word of 1Malaysia due to her uniqueness and colourfulness of multi-religious, multi-racial and multi-ethnic dwellers. I come forward to share several important statements that support “colourfulness of 1Malaysia” in depth. If we open our minds widely and look at other countries around us - they tend to have some problems or issues regarding discrimination, racism, and tribe’s war arose despite they don’t have sufficient races as much as in Malaysia. Harmony and prosperity of Malaysia through the combination of its unity is very emulated by foreign countries. However, some of them are jealous toward the unity in this county, and making false statements and unfounded accusations merely to divide the people of Malaysia who lived in peace and prosperity.
The statement above is based on an issue that raised the so-called 1Malaysia copied or quoted from 1Israel concept. The statement is not true at all. I boldly and confidently say that the concept is genuine and initiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri’ Mohd Najib b. Tun Abdul Razak, especially for people in Malaysia.

The Truth
Hereby, I have some views that may support the above statement that may be shared with readers. Let us take a look at the number ONE (1) in the concept of “1Malaysia”. According to mathematical perspective – the number 1 is a number that begins or cannot be divided by any other numbers except, the number itself without any calculation provided. Meanwhile, in philosophy point of view, ONE (1) is associated and indicated with the purpose of - the Best or the Prime. After that, the term of 'Malaysia' indicates the name of a country and may not focus on a race. This is very clear case of one (1) Malaysia; means Malaysia is comprised of multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-cultural. This is when the dwellers were presented in performing a unified infrastructure and harmonious life based on the understanding of ethics and respecting each other and eventually become as ONE (1) community united in line of 1Malaysia. I remember one of my friends had been studying in United State last year which he had felt the application of 1Malaysia concept at overseas. Whereby his lecturer asked, "Malaysian, please raise your hands up..." the unexpected answer is, the whole Malaysian students who are in the lecture halls whether Malays, Chinese, Indian and others raise their hands.

This proves that Malaysia is the union of all races and becomes attractive and surprise to the foreign countries which still have not been able to unite the people of their own. This became a symbol of colourfulness of 1Malaysia. It is also very obvious that Malaysia is a country and would be former world number one country that managed to unite people from different backgrounds. This statement is very clearly stated that the concept is suitable to use in Malaysia compared to other countries such Israel. Thus, the statement of the Prime Minister regarding 1Malaysia concept on is justified and appropriate for the country as a symbol of Malaysia in the eyes of the world and impressively, slogan of "People First, Performance Now" is a trigger of the brilliant concept.

Additionally, 1 Malaysia should be maintained and always be grabbed tightly, and the National Principles would be our very best pillars and guidance to safeguard the people in Malaysia towards a developed nation, successful and harmonious and creating excellent and ideal prospects. Malaysia community visibly goodwill everywhere, showing the Malays, Chinese, Indian and others - gathering, working, laughing, talking, discussing and playing as a family that cannot be divided into pieces. The goodwill of Malaysians was created perfectly since the earlier generation; we can see it until now. Although there are negative elements which seemly are not happy to see this harmony, however, it can be resisted and rejected by the 1Malaysia community.
Consistent with that, the younger generation has always been exposed to the formation of the values of solidarity. For instance, the National Service Training Programme (PLKN), which helping and guiding them to be a productive generation in order to create the goodwill of the community. Applying the values of patriotism is also important for the community in order to nature and nurture of love and enables them to protect and conserve Malaysia to be more peaceful and prosperous.

With the implementation of this patriotic values as well, people will always survive from any bad element that may damages the harmony of the country. With the existence of a harmonious society, the country will always performs productive and consistent to become a developed country in 2020. With this, a lot of programmes provided by the government will be easy to participate and indirectly, the development will be robust and secured through New Economic Model (NEM) concept which is benefits to the people in Malaysia especially in the economic aspect.

The Malaysia history proves that Malaysia's success is based on the cooperation of all various religions, races, ethnics and cultures. The history must be applied to the new generations as their guidance and reminder on how Malaysia achieved its independence until all of the pleasures can be felt till today.
That is how the colourfulness of 1Malaysia always shines like a rainbow, and the national Pholosophy is the core of success and it will not be recoverable if the destruction of harmony is found in the future.
Let us together nurture the spirit of unity and live in a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous that will produce excellent, quality, secure and ideal prospects to become admired and respected country throughout the world.

The Unforgettable Moment

Long decades ago, before Malaya perform its nationality to be an independent country; there is plenty of grimness, hardship, and painful situations that they confronted. Colonialism and the empires of Portuguese, Dutch, and British seemly remain a huge impact of Malaya’s history.  It is the beginning of acceptance of Malaya towards cultures absorbance and became popular till then. Because Malaya (Malaysia) is a blessed country which it has raw materials and valuable things in different aspects, Even Japanese enforced to take over Malaya from British with their famous slogan “Look East Policy” by war, oppression, tortured and conquest the land without humanity approached. More tragically, the communism spirits have been spread in some places to oppose the Japanese over run the Malaya. Since then, the arising of the Malays, Chinese, Indians, and other races have fought till death against them as to protect the beloved nation.

The achieving of Independence of Malaysia is a peaceful; achieved by holding talks with the British which is no other country had been done that before Malaysia. Amazingly, the Independence was proudly declared by the first of Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Allahyarham Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah, on the glorious day of 31st August 1957. As to support this statement, the independence will not going to occur without the effort of three important people that representing three major community in that country - Malays, Chinese and Indians. The spearheaded of the independence is Tunku Abdul Rahman, who led a delegation of ministers and political leaders of Malaya (Formerly known as Malaysia) along with the first president of the Malayan Chinese Association (MCA) Tun Dato Sri Tan Cheng Lock and fifth President of Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Tun V.T Sambathan.

The Prime Minister and the rest of Malayans were really struggled to find freedom for the country by giving their wealth i.e. Jewelleries, moneys, and other valuable things to the Prime Minister and his adherent for their expenses in Britain. This approach was seemly not an easy task. It is because, the increasingly clear that the Communist threat posed during the Malayan Emergency was petering out, agreement was reached on 8th  February 1956 for Malaya to gain independence from the British Empire. However, for a number of logistical and administrative reasons, it was decided that the official proclamation of independence would only be made next year. After the full supports and contributions, then the history begins when the Prime Minister has shouting out the sacred word of “Merdeka” seven times repetitions at The Merdeka Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. All publics from multiracial, multicultural, and multi ethnic, were gathered in the stadium with a feeling of thankful, proud, peaceful, and crying out after they officially announced the independence of Malaya.

After achieved the independence, The Prime Minister found difficult decisions to determine exactly what territories would be included in the new state. In 1961, the term "Malaysia" came into being after Tunku convinced Singapore, Sabah, and Sarawak to join Malaya in a federal union (Singapore later opted out of the union, peacefully, in 1965).

Since that day onwards, the people of Malaysia promised to renew the political, economical and social structure in order to reduce the gap among the society. It is not an easy job as there are many challenges ahead. The independence became unstable when the 13th May 1969 tragedy occurred, caused by racial conflicts. Fortunately, the problem was overcome immediately, ensuring the independence is not jeopardised. Measures are taken but success comes from individuals. This is how one action can affects the whole nation.

Another problem was to determine a national identity. As Malaysia is mixed with multiracial and multicultural, to unite them harmonising, it is not an easy task. After all, the unity was successfully reached which people are steadily live in peace and harmony. This is the accurate fact telling that Malaysia is a peaceful country.

Five incredible persons have ruled the country since the 1957. As the first Prime Minister is Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah, formerly known as the Father of Independence of the Father of Malaysia (1957-1970), followed by Tun Abdul Razak Bin Hussein Al-Haj, formerly known as the Father of Development (1970-1976). Then the third Prime minister was Tun Hussein Bin Dato’ Onn, formerly known as the Father of Unity (1976-1981). After that, the country was ruled by the fourth Prime Minister, namely, Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad was known as the Father of Modernization, the longest-serving administration (1981-2003). Tun Abdullah Bin Haji Ahmad Badawi was appointed as the fifth Prime Minister (2003-2009) and his Islam Hadhari approached for the time being. The sixth and the current Prime Minister of Malaysia is Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak (2009-till now). He has created the powerful concept of 1Malaysia and New Model of Economics (NME).
